Jay's airplane
I bought a brand new airplane, an AMD Zodiac XLi in June 2008. I've been a pilot for twenty years, and had wanted an airplane all that time. I finally was able to afford one. I got it just the way I wanted, with a custom registration number, N55ZC, after my ham radio callsign, and all of the latest avionics in the panel.
I also did something I hadn't planned when I first dreamed of an airplane: a custom paint scheme. AMD offers complete customization of the paint and interior, for not a lot of money. I sent them a paint sample of the same color I used on the TRON costumes. They gave it to their paint supplier and had them match the color, and as you can see from the pictures, they did a fantastic job. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. AMD took my Photoshop design and made it real.
